I have a deep concern for the quality of life in the natural world. My art is dedicated to inspiring creativity and helping to support and protect wildlife in their natural habitat.
I have developed a method to create Cast 100% Recycled Paper Fiber, then transform this resource into "Wildlife Sculptural Paintings"Each one of these works evolves from a long process and a minimum 6 months to a year.
Each begins with A photograph. Clay is used to make a positive sculptural form,a plaster cast formed, paper fiber cast ,dryed, mounted and painted.
My most current work is" Flying Birds" of the Pacific Northwest. Tundra Swans, Snow geese, Eagels and Sandhill Cranes.
Ruth San Pietro's work has been exhibited in Juried Shows,Museums,Universities,Hospitals & Galleries.
